Hi everyone, yes, it's that wonderful time of the year again when the Marwell International Wildlife Art Society hosts it's annual exhibition.
After handing in the artwork on Tuesday, I was at the exhibition all day Wednesday helping to hang the vast array of fabulous artwork. It's always amazing to watch this huge exhibition take shape and I'm always so impressed at how well it all comes together. Also, the wonderful camaraderie between the committee and many, many volunteers makes it all so very special.
I've spent most of today getting everything prepared for my art market stand, (and also getting more and more excited, Marwell is my favourite event of the whole year!) The market runs parallel with the main exhibition for the whole three days and is a great opportunity to come along and meet the artists, see them working and perhaps pick up a souvenir or two! Also on display at the exhibition once again this year, will be all the winning entries from the 2013 BBC Wildlife Magazine's Wildlife Artist of the Year competition. Yet another reason to make the effort to visit!
The exhibition runs for only three days, Friday 30th August to Sunday 1st September, at Rookesbury Manor, Wickham, and entry is completely free! So if you're thinking about attending, don't leave it too long! Full details regarding location and times can be found on my exhibitions page.
Hope to see you there :-)
